Manitowoc, WI

The home was originally built as a farmhouse in 1906, and had served the family well raising their now grown children. The homeowners decided it was time to update their kitchen, first floor bathroom, family room, and formal dining room. Peters Construction Services worked collaboratively with the owners and Linda Riha from Shoreline Interiors to develop a fresh new look for their home that would serve both their aesthetic and practical needs for years to come. The kitchen was completely redone using custom painted marble inset cabinetry with Caesarstone countertops. The kitchen also features a peninsula that serves both as a work area and as a space for family and guests to enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning. A new, energy-efficient, free-standing gas fireplace was added to the family room to provide heat on those cold winter nights as well as aesthetic ambiance to the space. The existing first floor bathroom was also completely gutted and outfitted with a larger walk-in ceramic tile shower and Kohler fixtures throughout. From the ceramic tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom, new paint colors throughout the first floor, and the use of more natural lighting the existing home has taken on a brand new look and feel that couldn’t be more pleasing and inviting.
